If you're not satisfied with your lights for any reason then neither are we. We'll do everything we can to make it right.Please review our returns, change of mind, and warranty policies below.

Non-Returnable Items
The following products cannot be returned or exchanged (no exceptions):

Change of Mind Returns
Changed your mind? You can return eligible items within 14 days of delivery for a refund, exchange, or store credit.
To qualify for a return:
- You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order. No exceptions.
- Item must be unused and in its original, unmarked packaging
- No markings, labels, or tape on the branded product box
- All returns must be pre-approved via email
Important Notes:
- Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility.
- Original freight charge is not refundable.
- Does not apply to non refundable items listed above. Exception being festoon lighting sets.
- All change of mind returns will incur a 2.5% (product total cost) processing and handling fee, deducted from your final refund.
- All returns must be received within 14 days of Love Your Lights approving the return. Any returns outside this period will not be accepted.
- We recommend returning products via traceable courier services, as return parcels remain your responsibility until received and signed for by us.
- Returns are processed within 5 working days of receiving your item(s).
*If the product box is used as courier packaging or arrives marked, a 15% fee will be deducted from your refund. Please take the time to package our lights with care, just as we do for you.
How to Start a Change of Mind Return
Email us at sales@loveyourlights.co.nz with:

We’ll send you return instructions from there.
Used Products
Items that have been installed or used cannot be returned under our change of mind policy.
Light Bulb Policy
Light bulbs are classified as consumables.
Once used, they cannot be returned or refunded, even if they fail shortly after use.
Please double-check you’re ordering the correct bulbs for your lights.
(We do not replace bulbs that fail through use unless faulty on arrival.)
Incorrect Item Received?
Let us know within 7 days of delivery. As long as the item is unused and in original condition, we’ll replace it free of charge and email a pre-paid return label to send the incorrect item.
Incompatible Products
We only guarantee compatibility within the Love Your Lights product range.
We may accept a return if:

Our website listed incorrect or missing compatibility info
We do not accept returns for assumed compatibility with third-party products.
Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives visibly damaged:

You must notify us immediately and within 3 days of receiving your order.

Please email us at sales@loveyourlights.co.nz and include photos of the damaged areas.
We'll repair or replace at our discretion. We do not cover installation-related damage due to incorrect setup or user error. Always follow provided installation guides.
Faulty Product / Warranty Claim
In the unlikely event that your lights arrive faulty, damaged, or broken, please email sales@loveyourlights.co.nz within 14 days of receiving your order to initiate a return.
Within your email you will need to include:
- Description of the fault
- Photos or videos showing the fault
We reserve the right to request that you return the product to us for assessment at your cost.
We can assist you with a replacement, repair, refund, or store credit, provided that, upon assessment, the product is found to have a manufacturing defect or is otherwise in breach of the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
We reserve the right not to accept a return if the fault has occurred due to:

misuse, neglect, or improper installation
-
reasonable wear and tear
-
damage during installation
-
failure to follow instructions or care guidelines
-
use of the product for purposes other than those intended
-
accidents, weather exposure, or acts of God
**If a product is broken during installation, this is considered customer responsibility and will not be deemed a faulty good.
